Oakville Town Council appoints Peter Longo as Ward 4 Town Councillor

At a special meeting of Council last night, Peter Longo was appointed as the new Ward 4 Town Councillor. The appointment is effective immediately and Councillor Longo will remain in office until November 30, the end of the current Council term. Councillor Longo was also appointed to the Administrative Services Committee and will attend the May 22 meeting.

Councillor Longo, a 16-year resident of Oakville, is the current chair of the Halton Region Natural Heritage Advisory Committee, past chair of the regional Ecological and Environmental Advisory Committee and was a member of the Stakeholder Advisory Committee for Official Plan Amendment 198. He holds a Masters in Environmental Studies (M.E.S.), Environmental Planning from York University and has over 22 years of experience in the health care, pharmaceutical and telecommunications industries.
